A wooden uppercase alphabet puzzle with a small knob on each letter for little hands to grip. The spaces are cut slightly larger than the pieces so the letters lift in and out easily, and the baseboard is laser cut with smooth edges and rounded corners.

For learning the alphabet while building hand-eye coordination, with the knobs helping to develop fine motor skills. Suitable from age 2.

Laser cut wooden baseboard, with letters 3D printed from a plant-based bio-plastic made from cornstarch and tapioca starch.

Letters are 55mm tall. The board measures 29cm x 28.5cm.

Alphabet Puzzle

For friends far and near

A gift card is the easy answer when you'd like to give something good but aren't sure what they'd choose. They pick the fibre, the colour and the fit, whether that's a possum merino jumper, a silk layer or something for the home.

It arrives by email with a code to use at checkout, so it can reach someone down the road or on the other side of the world in the time it takes to send. No postage, no waiting, and no second-guessing sizes.

Gift cards are valid for five years, so there's no rush to spend it.

What age is this suitable for?

Every toy has an age guide in its Usage tab, set by the maker for that particular toy. It's worth following, as it takes into account the size of the pieces as well as how a child is likely to play with them.

We choose toys made from natural and renewable materials wherever we can, with smooth edges and pieces sized for little hands. As with any toy, keep an eye on young children while they play, and check pieces now and then for wear.

If you're buying for a particular child and aren't sure, email sales@nznature.co.nz and we'll help you choose.

How do I clean a wooden toy?

Wipe it over with a damp cloth and a little mild soap if needed, then let it air dry. Don't soak wooden toys or put them in the dishwasher, as water can make the wood swell or crack. Kept dry and out of direct sun, a wooden toy will last for years and can be handed on to the next little one.

Can I send this as a gift?

We don't offer gift wrapping at the moment, but we're happy to include a message from you. Add it in the notes when you order, along with who it's from, and we'll pass it on with the parcel.

Are your products made in New Zealand?

Many are, and the product page tells you which. Anything made here carries an 'NZ Made' tag — that includes our Merino from Weft and Essence Lingerie, our sheepskin slippers and boots from EB Tolley and Furmoo, and skincare from Nude Kiwi.

Some of our range is made offshore, and we're upfront about that. Silk and bamboo, for example, aren't fibres produced in New Zealand, so those garments are made overseas to our specification. We're a New Zealand company and we make here wherever we sensibly can.

If you want to know the origin of a specific item, look for the NZ Made tag on the product page, or ask us and we'll tell you.

Can I return a homeware item?

Yes, within six months of the order date, provided the item is unused and in its original, undamaged packaging. Fill in the returns form enclosed with your order and send it back with the item, packaged securely for the return journey. Return postage is at your own cost, but we don't charge you postage to send a replacement out. If you can't find your form or you're not sure whether something qualifies, email sales@nznature.co.nz with your order number.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Most domestic orders within New Zealand are dispatched within 1–2 business days and arrive within 3–5 business days. Rural deliveries may take an additional day. International orders typically arrive within 7–14 business days depending on destination and customs processing.
