Caring for merino

Merino wool is one of nature's finest fibres — soft, breathable, and naturally odour-resistant. With the right care, your merino pieces will last for years, keeping their shape and softness wash after wash.

Washing

Turn your garment inside out and machine wash on a gentle wool cycle at 30°C. Use a mild wool detergent — never bleach. If hand washing, soak briefly in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent, then rinse thoroughly.

Drying

Lay flat on a clean towel and reshape while damp. Avoid wringing or tumble drying, as heat can cause shrinkage. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve colour.

Storage

Fold merino garments — never hang them, as this can stretch the fabric. Store in a cool, dry place. Cedar blocks or lavender sachets help keep moths at bay naturally.

With minimal effort, your merino will reward you with years of comfort and wear.
